Experience the hidden world of the Botanical Garden on an exclusive guided tour, gaining access behind the scenes to greenhouses and special plant collections normally closed to the public. Visit the world-renowned Seidenfaden orchid collection and other rare species while learning about the garden's important work in preserving endangered plant species and natural habitats.
The Botanical Garden is a living museum affiliated with the State Natural History Museum, with research, education, and nature conservation as core activities. The garden houses Denmark's largest herbarium of preserved plants as well as special collections including the seed collection and wood collection. In 2025, the garden received international accreditation from Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), recognizing its targeted efforts in global plant conservation.
The tour lasts 1½ hours and accommodates a maximum of 25 participants. The ticket also includes free admission to the Palm House on the same day during normal opening hours. Note that parts of the Palm House are closed for renovation.
