Professor Henrik Stevnsborg guides you through Danish police history from its establishment in 1682 to the present day. The tour covers the Police Museum's collections of historical police uniforms and the permanent exhibition about the police during the German occupation 1940–1945, a period marked by significant challenges for the force.
You will gain insight into police work during critical situations in the 20th and 21st centuries, including civil unrest, major demonstrations, and terrorist attacks. The guided tour lasts approximately 1½ hours, followed by about ½ hour of free access to the museum's other collections.
