Salon Bleu is a monthly cultural event at Babylon Restaurant & Bar, where the nightclub's space transforms into an intimate jazz scene with dimmed blue lighting, small round tables, white tablecloths and candlelight.
The concept brings together a soloist with a carefully curated house jazz band of the country's finest musicians. There is one rehearsal and one sound check before a roughly one-hour concert – a one-time performance where magic unfolds in the moment.
Josephine Philip is a singer and composer who has long been a distinctive and versatile voice on the Danish music scene. She has worked on projects including JaConfetti and Darkness Falls and collaborated with artists such as Trentemøller. Her solo album We Get Lost And Found (2022) received 5 stars in GAFFA and was featured on P6 Beat.
Her music moves fluidly between intimacy and grandeur – from delicate acoustic moments to cinematic productions with dark jazz undertones and trip-hop aesthetics. Her distinctive voice, marked by presence and intensity, binds the many moods together. She is also working on her first Danish-language album.
