Dream of writing tender and sensory love scenes? This workshop with author Johanne Bille explores how to portray attraction, intimacy and desire in a way that feels both authentic and present – without falling into clichés or becoming distant.
The workshop combines literary examples from both contemporary and older works with practical tips and writing exercises, where you try out different techniques and find your own voice for the erotic, the emotional and the physical – regardless of genre.
The program is structured in two parts: first "the first meeting" and portrayal of attraction, then eroticism, desire and the physical.
About the instructor: Johanne Bille (b. 1993) debuted in 2015 and has since written 11 novels. In 2024, she presented the Boghandel Blåregn series as a romance author – now concluded with the seventh and final volume. The series has been praised for its tenderness, romantic entanglements and appreciation of intimacy and physicality.
The workshop lasts two hours and takes place at Copenhagen Main Library, 4th floor. Computers are not provided – bring your own along with paper and pen. Desk space is limited, so you will likely sit with your computer/paper in your lap. There is a water station and coffee machine on the floor; bring your own water.
