Writing Workshop: How Do You Edit Your Own and Others' Texts?

At this writing workshop, you will get concrete tools for editing both your own and other people's texts. The teaching focuses on short forms such as poetry and short prose and alternates between tips, examples, and exercises. There will also be an opportunity to work with feedback on others' texts and get advice on collaborating with an editor if a manuscript is accepted by a publishing house.

The instructor is Christel Sunesen, who is a publisher and editor and runs the publishing house Ekbátana. The press primarily publishes new Danish literature and cross-disciplinary artistic works. Christel Sunesen has received the Diplom for påskønnelse af godt bogarbejde 2023 from Forening for Boghaandværk as well as the Sigvaldi Prize from the Danish Arts Foundation.

The workshop is aimed at adults and takes place at BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, 2nd floor in Mødeværket, from 10.00 to 12.00. Participation is free, but registration on Billetto is required. Computers are not provided, so please bring your own computer and/or paper and pen. As a rule, there is no table space, and refreshments are not provided, so bring your own water and snacks if you wish.
