Explore the monster as a literary figure in this workshop led by author Rasmus Daugbjerg. We delve into how monsters are often perceived as evil and dangerous, and attempt to shift the perspective: we must understand monsters anew.
The workshop combines literary analysis with practical writing. You will read excerpts from various works and write your own monstrous texts that explore what happens literarily when we tell stories from the monsters' perspective and give voice to the non-human.
The event is part of the festival "Don't Fear the Weird" and is conducted in collaboration with PsykInfo as preparation for the festival's focus on the psychological, the different, and the taboo subjects.
About Rasmus Daugbjerg: The author has in recent years established himself as one of his generation's most original voices. Trained at both Forfatterskolen and Biskops Arnö Författerskola, he is known for mythical and fabulative storytelling with poetic language and a sharp eye for nature and human relations.
