Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen takes the stage at Ideal Bar with his distinctive warm folk-pop universe. Larsen has made nomadic wanderlust a cornerstone of his artistic practice, and this philosophy deeply shapes his musical expression.
His breakthrough came with the album Vagabond (2014), produced by Passenger musician Mike Rosenberg. Since then, Larsen has performed on stages across the world—from North America through Asia to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The acoustic, intimate soundscape is characterized by virtuosic guitar playing and bare, direct songs with strong melodies and presence.
With the upcoming album Solitude, Larsen explored a distinctive creative process: over one year, he visited 12 different, remote locations and wrote one new song each month. The result is a collection of honest, acoustic compositions created in deliberate solitude—by unplugging and giving his thoughts space to breathe.
