Close to Art - Costume Guided Tour at West Indian Warehouse

Experience the Royal Theatre's legendary costume warehouse on an exclusive guided tour. The warehouse spans three floors at West Indian Warehouse and is filled with costumes and garments from centuries of theatre productions – a treasury of tools for the artists who shape the theatre's visual expression.

During the tour, you will gain insight into the history of both the location and selected costumes, and learn about the close collaboration between costume designer, tailor, and other artists. You will also hear about the theatre's sustainable practices: how costumes are preserved and reused from one production to the next.

The guided tour is led by one of the Royal Theatre's experienced costume technicians, who works daily with the warehouse, and takes place in Danish. Please note: the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties.
