A crucial voice on the Greenlandic music scene, Tarrak takes the stage with burning expressivity and political force. His music explores identity, resistance, inequality, and the colonial structures that continue to shape Greenland – messages that resonate regardless of language barriers.
Since his breakthrough with the debut album "FxGxS" and the viral hit "Tupilak," Tarrak has consistently demonstrated depth as an artist. His autobiographical work "Josef Tarrak" (2019) drew on raw storytelling to probe questions of identity and belonging. He has since released several significant singles, including a collaboration with Suspekt (2023) and "Pigalugu" (2025). His contributions have been recognized with both the Talent Prize at the Koda Awards and Greenland's Self-Government Commendation Prize.
Tarrak became the first Greenlandic rapper to perform at Roskilde Festival in 2023 and will return to the festival in 2026. This concert at ALICE offers a rare chance to experience the artist in intimate surroundings.
