The Creek Brothers - Vocal, Americana

The Creek Brothers perform a broad selection of Americana: folk, bluegrass, country tunes, blues-jazz and rockabilly – both classic works and newer compositions that delve into American musical traditions. With a direct approach, they present pure, authentic sound inspired by artists such as Old Crow Medicine Show, Hank Williams, Stanley Brothers and Woody Guthrie.

The band consists of:

• Pete Westbrook: Rhythm guitar, vocals
• Kim Heibon: Acoustic/electric guitar, mandolin, harmonica, vocals
• Torben Mortensen: Double bass, vocals
• Niels Augustenborg: Percussion

Their own material – ten original songs – is available on the album "Crossing the Creek" via Spotify and Banjo Trash Records. The performance blends energetic dance melodies with slow ballads, country and rockabilly swing as well as atmospheric vocal pieces.
