Hedestrik invites you to a six-week wool course where you learn three fascinating fibre arts techniques from the ground up. The course runs over six Wednesday evenings and combines structured teaching for the first three sessions with open studio time and guidance for the final three sessions — allowing you to develop your own projects.
What You'll Learn
- Dogma Knitting: An intuitive knitting technique where you work directly with raw, long-fibre wool and immediately create finished knitwear without lengthy processing. Perfect for your dream sweater or jacket.
- Wet Felting: A versatile technique for everything from slippers and bags to large blankets. You learn both form felting and panel pieces, which you can sew together.
- Plant Dyeing: Natural dyeing with simple materials — alum, wool and plant matter. You try both solar dyeing and vat dyeing with Danish natural materials.
The first three Wednesday evenings include structured teaching and guided assignments. The final three sessions are open studio time where you can freely explore, create your own projects and experiment with new ideas — all under guidance.
No prior experience required! You don't need previous experience with knitting or craft — the most important thing is curiosity. If you can already knit or crochet, that's an advantage, but not essential.
Included in the course fee are 100g dogma knitting wool, plant dyeing materials and felting wool for a small bag, plus all tools and materials. You can purchase extra wool for your projects.
