Explore VEGA's hidden corners on an exclusive guided tour through the music venue's history! In celebration of the venue's 30th anniversary in autumn 2026, VEGA invites you behind the scenes.
VEGA historian Nikolaj Muldkjær guides you through the labyrinthine, functionalist building designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen and opened in 1956. Visit the three stages, meeting rooms and backstage areas where thousands of musicians have prepared their performances. Hear stories about the venue's role as a workers' cultural center and its development into Denmark's leading venue for rhythmic music – all within walls of brown wood paneling filled with memories.
The tour lasts approximately two hours and concludes with a beer or water, which is included in the entrance fee. Meeting point is in front of Store VEGA's entrance at 5:30 PM.
