How does Russia perceive the world around it – and why does the country think the way it does? These questions are more important than ever if we are to understand the great nation to the east.
PhD student in Russian literature Niels Peter Bock Nielsen explores these central themes through Russian history – from Christianization in 988 to the present day – and through insight into Russian church life, literature and intellectual debate. The lecture provides perspective on Russian mentality and thinking by tracing threads through centuries of cultural development.
