Science Gala 2026

For the 19th consecutive year, the State Natural History Museum invites researchers and science enthusiasts to the Science Gala – an evening celebrating the most exciting discoveries in natural science. The event takes place at the University's Festival Hall on Frue Plads, in the elegantly appointed setting that serves as the traditional venue for this occasion.

Eight accomplished researchers share their latest findings and insights from the past year, giving the audience access to breakthroughs ranging from biological discoveries to astronomical observations. The program will feature both Danish and English-language presentations, though the majority will be held in Danish. The specific speakers will be announced closer to the event itself.

As an integral part of the experience, a glass of cava will be served during the intermission – this is included in the ticket price. The event forms part of the Wine & Science series, which is the State Natural History Museum's ongoing popular science initiative.

Practical information: Tickets for the event are sold out. Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
