The band delivers showmanship, outgoing swinging jazz, humor and crooner singing with musicians from diverse backgrounds. Since 2017, Cat Pack has performed over 800 times at Hvide Lam. Guitarist Søren Anker is a veteran in Danish musical life with a long career in jazz, dansktop and film music. Pianist Ole Matthiessen has been active in music for 60 years. Trumpeter Lasse Rømer is recognized for his playing inspired by Armstrong. Bassist Jimmi Roger Pedersen is a virtuoso with deep roots in jazz.
The repertoire is broad and versatile – from the oldest jazz classics to American standards as well as Danish, Swedish and French pieces. Nearly 400 videos with the orchestra can be found on YouTube.
Practical: Free admission. Hvide Lam, founded in 1807, is one of Copenhagen's oldest taverns and the only place in Denmark that presents live jazz daily (except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve).
