Barefoot Records celebrates two decades as a driving force on the Scandinavian scene for contemporary jazz and improvised music. The Copenhagen-based record label and artist collective marks the milestone year with a spectacular evening at Primi.
Since 2006, Barefoot Records has released 92 albums and established itself as one of Europe's most important platforms for contemporary music. Beyond serving as a celebration of jazz's genre-crossing possibilities, the label has consistently challenged artists to think beyond conventional boundaries. The American magazine All About Jazz once called it "one of the most interesting new labels in Danish jazz."
The anniversary evening features various constellations of collective members—from intimate solo performances to a full-throttle seven-piece orchestra. This is a celebration of the creative journey so far and a look toward the future.
