Lyngby-Taarbæk Symphony Orchestra opens the 2026-07 season with an ambitious classical program celebrating Eastern European culture through works by three defining composers. The repertoire includes Tchaikovsky's vibrant Capriccio Italien, Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 1, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 – three acclaimed works decisively influenced by their homelands' folkloric traditions.
The conductor is Carl-Oscar Østerlind, one of Northern Europe's most recognized cellists, who in recent years has established himself as a conductor of distinction and teaches at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory. Appearing as soloist in Bartók's violin concerto is Swedish violinist Malin Broman, a prize-winning artist with international reputation and extensive collaborations with classical music's great names.
An atmospheric meeting between orchestra and visiting musicians under the sign of a classical evening.
