Day of the Dead in Nørrebro is an afternoon about grief, death and remembrance with music, literature, conversation, singing and creative acts. At Assistens Cemetery, you are invited to a programme with room for both reflection and community, and a place to remember those you have lost.
Programme
- Talk by The National Grief Centre with senior researcher Allan Køster
- Literary conversation and reading by author Liv Duvå and former long-serving hospital chaplain Christian Busch
- Music by Mellemblond
- Soul-care singing with Mille Bang and Janne Mark
- Organ meditation with Christoffer Christensen in Hellig Kors Church
- Opportunity to fold paper flowers, write a letter, plant a flower bulb and light candles
The afternoon includes both indoor and outdoor activities and is created in collaboration with The National Grief Centre with support from Nørrebro Provsti and help from Turning Tables Danmark. The programme text is updated continuously.
