Who determines Copenhagen's appearance? Join a debate about street art, urban development, and the right to the city. Three unique perspectives meet to discuss who truly has the right to leave their mark on Copenhagen, and what happens when unauthorized art moves from the city's walls into a museum context.
The panel features collector and gallerist Jens-Peter Brask, journalist and architecture critic Holger Dahl, and photographer Christopher Egeberg, known as "Flip", who has spent years documenting SPYO's artistic statements around Copenhagen. Flip has progressively expanded his focus to the city itself – from abandoned industrial areas and construction sites to the periphery and the unexpected spaces between historic and emerging Copenhagen.
The debate stems from the special exhibition Hva' har du travlt for? and explores the value of street art and alternative culture in a Copenhagen that becomes increasingly regulated and expensive. What do we lose when spontaneous and unplanned places disappear? And what does it mean when museums choose to present and interpret art created outside traditional institutional frameworks? Expect different perspectives, clear convictions, and authentic disagreement. The discussion is moderated by historian Trine Halle from the Copenhagen Museum.
