A performance that gives voice to seven men with minority backgrounds. Rather than hearing about them, we encounter their own stories about everyday life as a father, son, and man in Denmark.
Through personal accounts, conversations open up about love, responsibility, grief, disappointment, and pride – and how to find one's place both within the family and in the broader society. The performance combines authentic testimonies with theatrical expression, creating an intimate encounter between the audience and the storytellers, who are often reduced to stereotypical images.
This is a restaging of C:NTACT's very first theater performance from 20 years ago, now reimagined by director Youssef Wayne Hvidtfeldt. In developing the narratives, author and musician Shahin Aakjær and actor Runi Lewerissa have been central. The first restaging sold out quickly, so here you have the chance to experience the men's words on the Edison stage.
