Mogens Dahl Chamber Choir and the English baroque orchestra Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment reunite for a memorable performance of Händel's profound classic "Messiah". This annual event forms a festive and musical prelude to the approaching Christmas season.
The orchestra uses instruments from the period in which the work was composed, promoting an authentic and nuanced musical experience. The choir sings with a smaller ensemble than is customary — inspired by the original Dublin concert in 1742 with only 32 singers. Conductor Mogens Dahl and his ensemble have worked over the years to develop their approach to this remarkable work.
