Gry Jexen - Who Gets a Place in History?

Historian and bestselling author Gry Jexen returns with a brilliant new show at Bremen Theatre. She takes stock of gender equality throughout history—how far have we come, what have we achieved, what's still missing, and how do we rewrite the historical narrative?

Gry Jexen is known for her direct, curious, and engaging approach to presenting history. Through television, podcasts, social media, and her popular book Woman Know Your History, she has made history accessible to the broader public. In this show, she explores how we can nuance the past and give women their rightful place in our shared history—and how this shapes our view of the world today.

With concrete examples and contemporary perspectives, she crafts an inspiring message: when we change the story of the past, we also transform how we see the present. The show welcomes everyone seeking an enriching evening in good company—and is particularly relevant for those who have followed Gry's work, as it offers new angles and insights.
