Experience Danish police history through a fascinating guided tour with Professor Henrik Stevnsborg. From the establishment of the police in 1682 to the present day, a dramatic story of Denmark's police development and role in society unfolds.
The tour focuses on several central and exciting periods: police uniforms through the ages showcase the evolution of police appearance, while the exhibition on police during the Nazi occupation illuminates the unique challenges Danish police officers faced during the five years of German occupation. You will also gain insight into police efforts during critical situations in the 20th and 21st centuries – from social unrest and major demonstrations to counter-terrorism operations.
The guided tour lasts approximately 1½ hours, followed by around ½ hour of free access to the museum's other collections, so you can explore your interests further.
