Experience Danish police's fascinating and dramatic history on an expertly guided tour with Professor Henrik Stevnsborg. From the police force's establishment in 1682 to its modern roles today, an exciting narrative of development, challenges, and turning points unfolds.
The tour takes you through the museum's collections of historical police uniforms and particularly highlights the police's role during the occupation – five years marked by contradictions and trials. You will also gain insight into the police's efforts during critical situations in the 20th and 21st centuries, including social unrest, large-scale demonstrations, and terrorist attacks.
After the guided tour lasting approximately 1½ hours, you will have about ½ hour to freely explore the Police Museum's other collections on your own.
