Learn to draw faces without fear. This beginner course is for you who want to master the fundamental techniques of portrait drawing – no prior experience needed. The instructor shows you how to break down faces into simple forms so it doesn't feel overwhelming, and how to capture expression and emotion.
You work quickly and freely in a safe space together with other course participants. The focus is on silencing your inner critic and discovering that crooked, personal faces are often the most charming. There is room both to practice thoroughly and to experiment with the rules.
The course runs from 9:00 to 15:30 both days (wrapped up at 15:15). Coffee, tea and water are made together. Bring your own lunch – no meals are included. You need to bring: soft pencils (HB, 2B, 4B), pencil sharpener, A5/A4 sketchbook, watercolors (6-12 "half pans"), black waterproof pen, large watercolor brush (size 10-12) and paper towels.
