Enjoy an evening with two leading figures in European jazz when Danish tenor saxophonist Jakob Dinesen meets Spanish pianist Albert Sanz. Dinesen is an established force in Danish jazz, known for his warm, airy saxophone tone and artistic versatility through decades of collaboration in both fusion jazz and more traditional jazz settings. He has worked with international icons such as drummer Jeff 'Tain' Watts and received numerous awards, including Danish Music Awards for Best Jazz Release.
Sanz is one of Spain's most recognized pianists and composers with a unique ability to blend Brazilian rhythms with classically inspired harmony in his jazz language. He has recorded and toured with artists such as Javier Colina and Silvia Pérez Cruz, and teaches at Berklee College of Music in Valencia.
The concert is presented as a "slow flow" – an intimate orchestrated journey through passionate and grand music. Joining on stage are Felix Moseholm on bass and Martin Maretti Andersen on drums.
