A Polish jazz vocalist, lyricist and arranger presents music from her debut album "Songbook", released on the Berlin-based label XJAZZ! Music. Joanna Wojtkiewicz draws inspiration from The Great American Songbook tradition, offering a contemporary and personal perspective on classic jazz repertoire.
Through original lyrics and selected Polish poetry, she creates a musical dialogue between the American jazz tradition and her own background, with storytelling and interpretation at the center. Joanna is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznan and Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, working between Poland and Denmark.
