What happens when the body does not fit society's ideals of efficiency and independence? Olivia Dahl, postdoc at Copenhagen University, presents her PhD project "From Outsider to Crip", which through interviews, focus groups, and collective poetry explores how people with disabilities navigate norms of normality and capability.
The lecture invites critical reflection on the ideals that shape our society and what demands they place on us. It also opens up thoughts about alternative, more "crip" futures – where difference is valued as a resource rather than a lack.
The event takes place at Vartov in Copenhagen.
