What does it mean to be a man today? KVINFO and Dansk Mandesamfund invite you to an inspiring evening where traditional gender roles are challenged and new ways of being male are explored. Through talks, personal stories and live music, we take a closer look at contemporary manhood – from work and fatherhood to the body, vulnerability and authenticity.
The evening is moderated by Adrian Busk and features Kåre Quist, Abdel Aziz Mahmoud, Victor Boy Lindholm, Niels Ulrik Drescher, Mads Krause Hulbæk and Philip Rosenbaum, among others. Morten Wichmann opens with stand-up, and the Danish band Hængemulen delivers their special blend of quirky humour, melancholy and thoughtful songwriting. The evening concludes with a keynote speech and discussion about what narratives about manhood we actually need now.
From 4 p.m. the doors open to the school's cosy areas, where beer, water and award-winning Mexican street food from La Chica Mala are served. After the programme ends at 7 p.m., the celebration continues with opportunities for food, drinks and conversation among participants.
