The Glyptotek invites you to a thought-provoking debate on how ideals of male identity have evolved over 2,000 years. From ancient marble sculptures to today's social media, images of masculinity have shaped society – but what happens when one doesn't fit the picture?
The event explores how men historically have used colours, jewellery, and textiles in ways far removed from today's norms. A historian, artist, researcher, and diversity consultant examine body, gender, and power based on the Glyptotek's new exhibition Power & Fashion in the Roman Empire.
