Brazilian music meets Danish jazz in this intimate concert featuring vocalist Malene Mortensen and her ensemble. With three decades of experience on the Danish jazz scene, Mortensen brings her warm voice and elegant guitar to a program filled with Brazilian classics.
The ensemble includes some of the country's most talented musicians: guitarist Thomas Maintz, bassist Marc Davis, and drummer Ulrik Bisgaard. Together they create a musical journey through bossa nova, samba, and the modern Brazilian songbook with hits by Tom Jobim, Elis Regina, Gilberto Gil, Joao Donato, Joyce Moreno, and Djavan.
