Marathon – explosive post-punk at Ideal Bar

Marathon is a post-punk band from Amsterdam, blending post-punk's sharp expression with shoegaze's atmospheric elements. The band released its long-awaited debut album Fading Image in spring 2025, exploring themes of transience and resilience through haunting melodies and introspective lyrics—where dark melancholy meets hope for new beginnings.

Marathon is known for intense, engaging live performances and has completed a sold-out tour in the Netherlands as well as an extensive European tour. In their music, the band captures 21st-century anxiety and unrest through hard-hitting drums, raw vocals, and a distinct bassline, creating a massive and enveloping sound bath together.

On November 15, Marathon takes the stage at Ideal Bar in VEGA, inviting the audience into an intense and unforgettable concert experience.
