Memoriam

Memoriam is a poetic and sensory performance about community, memory, and the paradoxical loneliness that exists even among people who share experiences together. Five musicians from Scenatet and dancer Marie Kaae enter a universe with unique rituals and memories.

Choreographer Tim Matiakis and composer Niels Rønsholdt have created an integrated performance alongside Scenatet, where contemporary music, house dance, voices, and scenic images interweave. Colored textiles, mirrors, and immersive soundscapes guide the audience on a journey that hovers between past and future – dreamlike and full of unexpected poetry.

The performance explores the magical connection that can emerge between people while investigating the deeper loneliness present in all human relationships. After an international tour, Memoriam returns to Copenhagen – an opportunity to experience a work that has received excellent reviews and significant press attention.
