A morning debate on involving children and young people in architecture and urban development. Architecture and urban planning shape our daily lives, reflect societal values, and impact the planet's boundaries. The discussion explores why children and young voices matter, and what practical ways we can include them — as professionals, decision-makers, and citizens.
The panel features Jakob Næsager (Copenhagen's Mayor for Children and Youth), Malene Abildgaard (Director of Development and Outreach at Utzon Center and Secretary General of the Network for Architecture, Children and Youth), Jeanette Frisk (founder of arki_lab), and Astrid Bruus Thomsen (Program Director at Realdania). Together they will discuss the benefits of listening to children and young people, opportunities for professional collaboration and educational formats, and how we can strengthen cross-generational intersection points in architecture and urban development.
Coffee and croissants will be served.
