The Nutcracker 2026 - Return Performance

The Nutcracker is a classic Christmas ballet that blends fairy tales and magic in an enchanting performance. Immerse yourself in this beloved tradition and experience the magic and promise of an unforgettable evening.

The performance takes place on Christmas Eve 1874 in Copenhagen. Young Clara receives a nutcracker as a Christmas gift and falls asleep, embarking on a wondrous dream journey. From a snow-covered Tivoli, the stage transforms magically into a warm summer garden, where Clara meets characters such as Harlequin, Columbine, and Pierrot, as well as the Nutcracker brought to life.

Queen Margrethe created the scenography and costumes, while ballet director Peter Bo Bendixen choreographed the performance. Tivoli Copenhagen Phil performs Tchaikovsky's classical musical score in Tivoli's Concert Hall. Your ticket provides access to Tivoli before and after the performance.
