Author Jonas Eika reads aloud from the short story collection After the Sun, which won the Nordic Council Literature Prize. The novella Alvin depicts a man who arrives in Copenhagen to work at a bank—which turns out to be collapsed. He is drawn into a world of derivatives trading, where time flows into strange patterns.
The reading is followed by classical singing created and performed by soprano Laura Helene Hansen, who studied at the Opera Academy and the Royal Danish Music Conservatory. Her voice guides you through the work's swinging times—both classical repertoire and newer interpretations blend into a shimmering experience.
The event is part of the special exhibition Uneasy Economics and the series Exercises in Unease, which explores economic and social turmoil through artistic formats. The museum opens one hour before the event.
