Queermash is a festive and warm community gathering for the queer community at Warehouse9's workshop in Vanløse. Here, people meet to share, connect and enjoy each other's company — far away from traditional Christmas obligations and pressures.
The role of host is taken by Beck Heiberg, a choreographer and performer based between Copenhagen and Berlin with a long history with Warehouse9. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in movement and exploration of queer and transpolitical expressions. Beck has worked with Warehouse9 on several occasions, including at the IPAF festival, residencies and community events such as Tens Club and training for trans and non-binary bodies.
This special edition of Queermash features an Open Stage where visitors can sign up and perform on site — on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, there will be creative activities, Warehouse9's famous white Yuletide Glögg at the bar and a safe, cosy setting for everyone.
Everyone is welcome. The event is recommended from 18+ years.
