Transfeminist noise rock from Buenos Aires meets Danish scenography. The punk quartet Blanco Teta blends caustic noise rock, performance and activism in an explosive artistic expression that challenges norms around body, gender and musical form. With an unconventional rock lineup without guitar, but with a distorted cello at the center, the band moves between the melodic, the noisy and the physical.
Blanco Teta creates an engaging live experience where punk and noise melt together, and an angry political agenda is channeled into intense discharges and confrontational performance. Their music is closely connected to transfeminist practice, where body, gender and identity become a strong part of the artistic expression. The band has performed at festivals including Roskilde Festival, Le Guess Who? and Fusion Festival.
The concert takes place in the scenography of SORT/HVID's theatrical production BAD MEXICAN DOG – a surrealist, ritual charter from hell based on Jonas Eika's science fiction novella of the same name. The scenography becomes an active part of the experience, where music, body, ritual and space are woven together. This is the first of three concerts in the S/H x ALICE collaboration series.
