Siren

Siren is an artistic workshop where you can help create a brand new artwork on Youth Island (Ungdomsøen) together with artist Cody Lukas and other young people. The artwork is about the sea – about what you see, feel and wonder about by the coast. No art experience is required, only a desire to experiment and be creative.

During the workshop, you explore Youth Island's harbour ecosystem with all its forms, textures and living creatures. You then work practically with sculpting and casting elements that will become part of the artwork's physical form. Artist Cody Lukas, a Danish-Canadian artist based in Copenhagen, works across art, science and technology. By combining natural materials, observations and new technologies, an emotional connection is created between you young people and the local marine environment.
