Siren is a sonic performance that offers new perspectives on the myth of the sea's mythical women. From their own point of view, the work reinterprets these figures in a context shaped by climate crisis and ecological collapse.
In a large aquarium, the artists bring body and sound together in an intense, physical staging. As the Little Belt and the Baltic Sea die, graceful choreography blends with the brutal and awkward. Live-generated sound and field recordings from the Baltic Sea emit tones that simultaneously recall the sirens' ancient song and the strained, painful soundscape of the ocean's depths.
Arranged by Sydhavn Teater, presented at Spor10. Admission 150 DKK.
