A special jazz concert where the Steen Kyed Trio celebrates Danish jazz through a concert series at Bartof Café. As part of 100 years of Danish jazz, the trio invites a number of friends from the Danish jazz scene to celebrate both new and established music.
On Sunday, November 29th, the trio performs together with saxophonist Christina von Bülow. Since the 1990s, Christina has been one of the most prominent voices in Danish jazz and received in 2022, as the first Dane, the Swedish Gullinpris. She has studied with saxophone legend Stan Getz and altoist Lee Konitz among others. Her discography includes several albums, several of which have been nominated for Danish Music Awards.
The Steen Kyed Trio consists of guitarist Steen Kyed, bassist Jon Bruland and drummer Anders Pedersen – three musicians with deep experience in Danish and international jazz. The trio has released the albums Udyr (2022) and Kravl (2025) and has collaborated over the years with artists such as Mikkel Nordsø, John Abercrombie, Anne Linnet, Palle Mikkelborg and many others. Their music combines soulful compositions with melodic detours, deep grooves and musical presence.
