SURKOV – The Man Who Created Putin

Meet Vladislav Surkov – director, advertising executive and former spin doctor for Vladimir Putin. In this provocative newly written production, actor Thomas Levin explores the man who turned politics into theatre and reality into script.

Based on real, absurd events, the play takes you from Moscow's artistic underground through the Kremlin's corridors of power – from the fall of the Wall to a contemporary landscape filled with chaos, propaganda and disinformation. Surkov's methods have become a model for populist leaders worldwide.

A production about how people become characters, opinions become dialogue, and fiction becomes serious consequences.
