Welcome to the final Sydhavns Salon of the year, where art and music converge in an atmospheric evening filled with mystery and boundary-crossing. Featuring internationally acclaimed theremin virtuoso Dorit Chrysler from Berlin/New York, author Cecilie Lind, and the duo Sons of the City Limits, you are invited into the world of shadows – where things are not always as they seem.
Programme and Artists
- Dorit Chrysler performs a specially composed theremin solo. The theremin, the first electronic instrument invented in 1920, is played without touch – a fascinating and mysterious experience. Chrysler's work has been presented at world-class venues including Vienna Concert House, Coachella, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
- Cecilie Lind reads from her latest novel "Bristefærdig" (Bursting with Longing), which received strong critical acclaim. A profound, dark story about motherhood, desire, and the monstrous.
- Sons of the City Limits is a duo where dramatist Jokum Rohdes prose is woven together with sound artist Søren E. Jensen's mosaic of sound and music – a contrasting blend of James Last muzak, old Polish drinking songs, and nostalgic synth.
A curated evening with knowledge sharing, where you experience art across disciplines. Seated arrangement.
