Brazilian designer Tereza Bettinardi brings an inspiring event on graphic and editorial design to Copenhagen. With 20 years of experience in typography, graphic communication, and publication design, she shares her knowledge through both a talk and a hands-on workshop.
Talk (16:30-17:30) explores what constitutes the design of a book. Through examples from her practice and her work with Clube do Livro do Design—a publishing house she founded in 2020 to increase access to critical design writing in Portuguese—Tereza reflects on design as a relational process shaped by collaboration and materials. She examines how design and publishing can build shared vocabularies and strengthen the communities that gather around books.
Workshop (17:30-20:30) is offered to 20 design professionals and students. A hands-on course inspired by Corita Kent's teaching practice, where participants learn through playful exercises and experimentation to notice the overlooked and see the everyday with renewed attention.
Tereza is a renowned designer based in São Paulo, founder of her own studio, and named among Creative Boom's top 20 creatives for 2026.
