Learn the art of wet felting and create your own felted artwork on this inspiring workshop. You work with water, soap, and carded wool to create a personal motif, which is then embedded in a felted background through a fascinating creative process.
All materials are included in the participation fee, and your finished work can be up to 40x50 cm. You choose from the colours brown, white, grey, yellow, and red – where the yellow and red wool are plant-dyed. It is recommended to prepare a simple motif before the workshop.
The organisers behind Hedestrik will also share knowledge about heathland culture, wool quality, plant dyeing, and the sustainable Hedestrik project, which focuses on Nordic wool that would otherwise lie unused at sheep farms. You gain insight into wool selection from a climate perspective and encounter a design philosophy that prioritises people and craftsmanship over commercial trends.
Tickets are non-refundable.
