Vagabundus

A hypnotic dance performance featuring 13 performers who dance and sing in full ecstasy. The ensemble moves as a single organic unity through scenes inspired by street life and processions, where individuals periodically break away only to be lovingly reunited with the collective.

The repertoire blends traditional and contemporary works from Mozambique, gospel, and baroque motifs. Choreographer Idio Chichava drew inspiration from human migration patterns and the dance traditions of the Makonde people in Mozambique and neighboring regions. His artistic vision rests on the conviction that bodies which dance and sing simultaneously achieve complete self-expression and create synergy with one another.

Performance at Dansehallerne. Duration: 70 minutes without intermission. Tickets: Children/Youth group 70 kr, Children/Youth single 185 kr, Adults group 215 kr, Adults single 255 kr.
