Three multidisciplinary performance artists with roots in sun-soaked lands share their work in this worksharing. KONGI MILKA MBUNGA (Kinshasa, DRC), YANG CHENG (Taiwan) and NANCY NASER AL DEEN (Lebanon/Egypt) invite you into their process as part of their residency at HAUT.
MAAYII is a word for water in both Congolese Lingala and Arabic from Bilad al-Sham. The performance explores what happens when we allow ourselves to flow across borders, histories, bodies and wounds. A work about connection, flow and transformation.
The event is part of HAUT's international residency program IN CONNECTION, which connects artists based in Denmark with international contexts and vice versa. The residency is developed in collaboration with international partners and curated by workspacebrussels.
