Live show 2026 at Bremen Theatre.
Adnan Al-Adhami turns the microphone on himself in his debut show – a satirical and personal portrait of a man who lost his connection to his Arab roots while trying not to lose himself. As a child in Baghdad, Adnan was the perfect Arab – so perfect that he was invited to sing "Happy Birthday" to Saddam Hussein on Iraqi state television. But when his family settled in Viborg, life took a dramatic turn. His native language disappeared as quickly as his adherence to Arab traditions.
With raw honesty and dark humour, Adnan tells his own story – one that touches both the heart and tickles the funny bone. He is known from DR P3 for his sharp social satire and fearless criticism of those in power. Here, the focus turns inward as he explores what it means to be both – and really neither.
Tickets are available through Bremen Theatre.
