Can you break the law to follow your conscience? This is at the heart of a modern and intense interpretation of Sophocles' classical tragedy, where two actors and a live electronic musician unfold a work that still strikes at the core of contemporary political and philosophical questions.
The production explores humanity's conflict between law and morality, between authority and rebellion, between generations. Antigone confronts Kreon in a drama full of psychological depth and political relevance. The question is: where do your sympathies lie when the individual meets the state's power?
Throughout history, civil disobedience has been a tool for change. This version reveals how the state affects us and how modern conflicts still draw on these primal forces.
