Researcher and author Birgitte Possing presents her latest book Klangbunden i mig (2025) – a literary family history spanning four generations and an entire century. The starting point was hidden letters found in a secretive shoebox, which led Possing on an existential and cultural-historical journey through two world wars, around the world and back again.
Possing shares and explores the challenges of reconciling her own memories with others', and truths from archives – including material from Christianshavn Local Archive. She uses photographs and archival documents to illuminate how major historical events wove themselves into her family's search, faith and doubt, and what traces they left in her own life.
